Mason Miller pitched 4 strong innings and Luis Rengifo had 2 base hits as the
New York (UFB) Blue Sox defeated the Seattle Mariners in 11 innings 3 to 2 at
Blue Sox Stadium.
Both teams had scored 2 runs after nine full innings. New York (UFB) won the
game in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Rengifo was walked
intentionally. Rengifo got a great jump and stole second easily. Taylor
Ward then laced a base-knock making New York (UFB) the victor and beginning a
joyous home town celebration. New York (UFB) had just 6 hits for the night.
The win was credited to Miller(3-2) who went 4 innings allowing no runs.
Andres Munoz(2-4) absorbed the loss in relief. He was a hard-luck loser as
he did not allow an earned run in his 1 and 2/3 innings of work.
