Championship Series, Game #4 - Tampa Bay 9, Toronto 4
Tampa Bay starter Tyler Glasnow struck out 11 in 8 innings, holding Toronto to just 4 hits, and the Championship Series is now even at 2 games apiece. Tampa Bay leadoff hitter Yandy Diaz, batting against Alek Manoah, started the game off with an infield single – but Toronto shortstop Bo Bichette’s throwing error allowed Diaz to advance all the way to third, and he later scored on a sacrifice fly by Nelson Cruz. In the bottom of the 1st, Toronto took a 2-1 lead as Glasnow walked leadoff man Santiago Espinal and then gave up a homer to George Springer. But Toronto would not get another hit until the bottom of the 5th, and would not score again until the 7th. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay built up a 6-2 lead, thanks in part to homers by Brett Phillips off Manoah in the 6th and by Brandon Lowe off Toronto reliever Ross Stripling in the top of the 7th. And a 3-run homer in the top of the 8th by Joey Wendle off Toronto reliever Tim Mayza pretty much sealed the deal. Glasnow got the win, and by going 8 innings he gave the Tampa Bay bullpen some much needed rest. Manoah got the loss as Toronto went 0-for-13 with men in scoring position. For Tampa Bay, Diaz scored 3 runs, Lowe had 3 rbis, and Phillips went 3-for-4 and scored 3 runs.

Glasnow(1-0) earned his pay with a solid performance for Tampa Bay. He went 8
