Blue Sox Season #4, Game #8 - Blue Sox 5, Houston 4 (14 minutes). Jose Urena gave up just 3 runs on 3 hits in 7 innings, with homerun support from Jeimer Candelario and Donovan Solano, as the Blue Sox edged Houston and evened the series. Framber Valdez, the starting pitcher for Houston, was hit hard and lasted only 1-2/3 innings, giving up 5 runs on 6 hits, including a 2-run homer to Candelario in the 1st and another 2-run homer to Solano in the 2nd. Houston battled back, little by little, as Kyle Tucker hit a 2-run homer in the 2nd and a solo homer in the 6th. That made the score 5-3 Blue Sox. In the bottom of the 9th, George Springer singled off Blue Sox reliever Blake Parker. Nick Vincent replaced Parker, but he immediately gave up a run-scoring triple to Tucker (that made Tucker 3-for-4 with 4 rbis and 11 total bases). With nobody out and the tieing run on thirdbase, Vincent got Yuli Gurriel to line out to short, but then walked Alex Bregman to put the potential winning run on firstbase. Josh Reddick hit a flyball to center, but it was too shallow for Tucker to score from thirdbase, and there were now two out. Seth Lugo replaced Vincent - and struck out Martin Maldonado for the save.

Jeimer Candelario homered and had 2 RBI at Minute Maid Park as the New York
(FL) Blue Sox beat the Houston Astros by the count of 5 to 4.
New York (FL) wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning when they
came up with 3 runs on 4 hits. The biggest moment was provided by Candelario
who silenced Minute Maid Park as he smashed a two-run homer. Houston tried
