Championship Series, Game #5 - Minnesota 12, Houston 8. After 4 relatively low-scoring games, the teams combined for 20 runs on 29 hits (including 14 runs in the last 2 innings!). But it was really not a close game - Minnesota led 9-1 heading into the bottom of the 8th inning. Each team scored 4 runs in the 8th and 3 runs in the 9th as Houston's late rally fell short. Minnesota was 8-for-19 with runners in scoring position, while Houston was 1-for-10 with runers in scoring position. Houston still leads the series, 3 games to 2, but Game #6 and Game #7 (if necessary) will be played in Minnesota. Third baseman Miguel Sano went yard and had 4 RBI as the Minnesota Twins
defeated the Houston Astros 12 to 8 at Minute Maid Park.
Sano had a big day against Houston. He lined a one-base hit which scored a
run in the 8th inning and lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 9th inning.
For the game Minnesota out-hit Houston 16 to 13.
Jose Berrios(1-2) got the win allowing 1 run in 6 and 1/3 innings. Sam Dyson
preserved the game for Berrios, recording his his 1st save. Justin
