Championship Series, Game #3 - Houston 4, Minnesota 3. Houston takes a 2-1 lead in the series on Yuli Gurriel's walkoff rbi single with 1 out in the bottom of the 9th. The Game #3 pitching matchup was Zack Greinke for Houston and Michael Pineda for Minnesota. Houston took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd as Yordan Alvarez was hit by a Pineda pitch, and Yuli Gurriel followed with a double that sent Alvarez to thirdbase. Carlos Correa grounded out, scoring Alvarez and moving Gurriel to thirdbase, and Gurriel scored Houston's second run on a sacrifice fly by Robinson Chirinos. In the top of the 6th, Greinke gave up 3 runs as Luis Arraez doubled, scored on a single by Max Kepler, and Nelson Cruz homered to put Minnesota up 3-2. In the bottom of the 6th, Jose Altuve led off with a double, and that was all for Pineda, who was replaced by Sergio Romo. Then, Altuve moved to thirdbase on a groundout and scored on a sacrifice fly by Michael Brantley. The score remained tied into the 9th inning. Will Harris took the hill for Houston with 2 outs in the top of the 8th, getting the third out in the 8th and retiring the side in order in the top of the 9th. Minnesota reliever Taylor Rogers entered the game in the bottom of the 9th. He gave up a single to Alex Bregman, struck out Brantley for the 1st out, and then gave up a single to Alvarez that sent Bregman to thirdbase. With Bregman representing the potential winning run, Gurriel slashed a hard grounder down the thirdbase line. Minnesota thirdbaseman Miguel Sano dove for the ball, but couldn't get to it, and Bregman scored with the winning run. Harris got the win, and Rogers got the loss. The pitchers for Game #4 will be Wade Miley for Houston and Kyle Gibson for Minnesota.

In an exciting finish the Houston Astros pulled out a win over the Minnesota
Twins by a score of 4 to 3 at Minute Maid Park.
The deciding run was scored by Houston in the bottom of the 9th. Alex Bregman
ripped a single. Michael Brantley was next to bat, but he was a strikeout
victim. Yordan Alvarez then laced a base-knock. Yuli Gurriel followed and
he lashed a single making Houston the winners and sending the 40,843 fans
home happy. Houston banged out 8 hits on the afternoon.
Will Harris(2-0) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory.
Taylor Rogers(1-1) was given the loss in relief. He gave up 1 run and 3 hits
in 1/3 of an inning.
