Blue Sox Game #135 - Minnesota 10, Blue Sox 7 (15 minutes). Max Kepler homered in consecutive innings to lead Minnesota to victory. His 5th inning solo shot off Brad Boxberger tied the game at 7-7, and his 3-run homer off Hector Neris in the 6th put broke the tie and put Minnesota up 10-7. Kepler wound 2-for-4 with a walk, 3 runs scored, and 4 rbis. Blue Sox starter Dylan Bundy was treated roughly - Minnesota sent 10 men to the plate in the bottom of the 1st, scoring 5 runs, and in the bottom of the 2nd Eddie Rosario's solo homer put Minnesota up 6-0. Meanwhile, Minnesota starter Kyle Gibson held the Blue Sox scoreless for the first 3 innings but ran into trouble in the 4th, giving up a grand slam homerun by Trey Mancini. That narrowed the score to 6-4, and in the top of the 5th, Gibson gave up a run-scoring single to Leury Garcia and a 2-run homer to Mike Zunino, and suddenly the Blue Sox led 7-6. But that only set up the stage for Kepler's game-tying and tiebreaking heroics. After Zunino's homer, the Minnesota bullpen took over - and the Blue Sox did not get another hit for the rest of the game. Tyler Duffey, who was credite with the win, pitched 3-1/3 innings. The only baserunner Duffey allowed (he walked Zunino in the 8th) was quickly erased by an inning-ending double play. Sam Dyson retired the side in order in the 9th to get the save. Blue Sox reliever Anthony Swarzak was charged with the loss. Jorge Polanco went 3-for-4 for Minnesota. Having lost 2 of 3 to Minnesota, the Blue Sox now travel out to California for their final series against Oakland.

Max Kepler cracked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Minnesota Twins defeated
the New York (FL) Blue Sox by a score of 10 to 7 at Target Field.
Kepler had a good evening at the plate. He ripped a solo home run in the 5th
inning and rifled a three-run blast in the 6th inning. Minnesota had 11 hits
for the night.
The victory was credited to Tyler Duffey(9-4) who went 3 and 1/3 innings,
allowing no runs. Duffey got help from Sam Dyson who earned his 1st save.
Anthony Swarzak(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief. He pitched 2/3 of an
inning giving up 2 hits and 1 walk.
With this win, Minnesota has a league leading 88-47 record. They have been
