Blue Sox Game #107 - Blue Sox 6, Minnesota 4 (21 minutes). Despite leaving 12 men on base, the Blue Sox took advantage of 4 Minnesota errors (including 2 crucial errors by Miguel Sano) to beat the league leaders for the second game in a row. Martin perez was the starting pitcher for Minnesota, while the Blue Sox went with opener Luis Garcia. The bullpen game strategy did not start out well as Jake Cave hit a 2-run homer in the 1st and Max Kepler hit a solo homer in the 2nd. Garcia left the game down 3-0, replaced by Nick Vincent. But in the bottom of the 2nd, the Blue Sox rallied against Minnesota starter Martin Perez. Tim Beckham singled, and Jose Peraza singled (moving Beckham over to second). Next, Yolmer Sanchez also singled, scoring Beckham with the first Blue Sox run, and moving Peraza to thirdbase. Sanchez then stole second - and Minnesota catcher Mitch Garver's throw went into the outfield. Peraza scored on Garver's error, and Sanchez wound up on thirdbase. Mike Zunino then hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Sanchez with the tieing run. The game stayed tied at 3-3 until the bottom of the 6th. Perez walked Nick Ahmed and Trey Mancini and was replaced by reliever Sergio Romo. Romo got pinch-hitter Tucker Barnhart to ground into a forceout, but Ahmed moved over to third and then scored on a wild pitch. But Minnesota tied it up in the top of the 7th when Garver hit a solo homer off Blue Sox reliever Hector Neris. In the bottom of the 8th, Chris Owings reached on an error by Miguel Sano. The next batter, Nick Ahmed, hit an infield single to Sano, who committed another error, and the Blue Sox now had runners on second and third. The next two batters, Trey Mancini and Tim Anderson (hitting for Neris) each had rbi singles and the Blue Sox led 6-4. Kirby Yates pitched a scoreless 9th, and for the second game in a row, Neris got the win, Duffey got the loss, and Yates got the save. Peraza went 3-for-4 for the Blue Sox.

York (FL) Blue Sox beat the Minnesota Twins by the score of 6 to 4.
